CAVES HAVE OWNERS. Please respect their property and privacy. Make sure you obtain permission before caving. If in doubt about cave status or access, consult the TAG Closed/Restricted Caves List or talk to someone at the Cave Information Booth. Be discrete when changing clothes. Do not park vehicles so that they block roads or driveways. Leave gates as you find them. Pick up trash in or around the cave. Cave softly and smart.
RESCUE AND FIRST AID SERVICE are available at the Rescue and First Aid Tent located next to the munchie stand. The tent is staffed 24 hours a day. Always notify someone of your plans before going caving. Nearby Hospitals are Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe (706) 858-2000 and Health South Chattanooga Hospital in Chattanooga (423) 698-0221.
NO BOMBS of any sort are allowed at the Cave-In. If it goes boom, it is a bomb and if caught making or setting off a bomb, you will be asked to leave the Cave-In. Repeat offenders could be banned from the Cave-In for life. Air horns and other loud noisemakers are prohibited, as are generators.
NAME TAGS must be worn and visible at all times. You must have yours to receive a door prize. If you leave the Cave-In be certain to take your name tag with you. You will not be admitted without it.
PETS OF ANY KIND ARE NOT ALLOWED. We love pets; however, pets are not allowed at this event. Kennels are available in Rising Fawn and Trenton, Georgia.
CAMPSITES continue to grow due to some hard working volunteers. Help them out by digging a shallow trough for your campfire, and return any rocks or logs that have been placed out in the open. Please set up tents at least 30 feet off roads for efficient use of camping areas. Do not cut down or put nails in trees.
FIRE PICTURES Picture taking of the fire must be done before Noon Saturday!!
PARKING. Please do not park on the roads. To conserve parking and camping, please pull well off the road, be courteous by observing one way and speed limit signs.
TRASH should be deposited in the dumpsters provided. Extra trash bags are available at the registration building and the Dogwood City Grotto booth at Vendor’s Village. Please leave the area where you camp clean and free of litter.
RECYCLE. Baskets are available throughout the campground for collecting aluminum. Collecting is managed by and the proceeds benefit the Sewanee Mountain Grotto.
GREAT FOOD is available at the food court. Grillin' Thyme will be serving up great southern fare.
THE BATHHOUSE was built the first year at this site and has twelve total shower stalls of continuous warm water. Help us save $$$ by conserving water when showering. All gray water must be held in containment tanks and then pumped out at our expense. Please do not wash dishes or muddy cave clothes in the bathhouse.
WATER STATIONS are placed around the field and near the dumpsters. For locations, see campground map found at the registration building and at DCG booth at Vendors Village.
SAUNA AND HOT TUB USERS PLEASE BE DISCRETE. Clothing is required during the daylight hours. No cameras or glass containers are permitted. No one under the age of 19 is allowed in the Spa area between the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:00 am during the Cave-In.
ALCOHOL is a matter of discretion. Any alcoholic beverage must be in an unmarked container or cup. Local authorities may be watching for those bringing alcohol across the state lines, as they do not tolerate open containers.
PLEASE BE A CONSIDERATE NEIGHBOR. Keep music and noise down, especially after midnight.
